DARK DAYS by Kate Ormand

The future world has been divided into sectors–each the same as the other. Surrounded by thick steel fences, there is no way in and no way out. Yet a cyborg army penetrates each sector, picking off its citizens one by one, until no one is left. Behind the sectors’ thick walls, the citizens wait to die. Few will be chosen to survive what’s coming; the rest will be left behind to suffer. A new world has been created, and its rulers are incredibly selective on who will become a citizen. They want only those with important roles in society to help create a more perfect future. (more)

“Deadly cyborgs in the grimmest of worlds with a heroine who still dares to hope. The pages utterly flew by.” — Elsie Chapman, author of the Dualed series

TWsmlTHE WANDERERS by Kate Ormand

A unique twist on shapeshifters with high-pace action, thrilling adventure, a bit of mystery, and a beautiful romance.

Flo lives an eccentric life—she travels with a popular circus in which the main acts star orphaned children with secret shape-shifting abilities. Once Flo turns sixteen, she must perform, but she’s not ready. While practicing jumping a flaming hurdle in a clearing beside the circus, she spots a dark figure in the trees and fears he saw her shift. The news sends the circus into a panic. (more)

“Filled with excitement and whimsy, The Wanderers is an adventure story about shape-shifters, first love, and the endless search for a true home.” — Suzanne Young, New York Times bestselling author of The Program

Coming Soon: THE PACK (THE WANDERERS #2) by Kate Ormand

Kate Ormand’s THE PACK, sequel to THE WANDERERS, about a sixteen-year-old traveling with what remains of the shape-shifter circus, and her discovery of a living relative she’ll do anything to rescue, even if it means facing the hunters again.

UDFTHE UPSIDE-DOWN FISH by Kate Louise and Laura Matine

Upside-down Fish lives in a big tank at a pet store filled with lots of other fish. The other fish in the tank swim the right-way up, though, and they don’t understand why Upside-down Fish is so different. This makes him very lonely. One day, a child comes into the store and chooses Upside-down Fish as a pet. He is anxious that he won’t be accepted in his new tank, but much to his surprise, the new fish are friendly! They love that he is different and want to know what it’s like to have the sky below and the ground above. Upside-down Fish realizes that it’s okay to be different—it’s what makes him so special. “This big-hearted story has a lovely message delivered with a light touch.” — Clara Vulliamy, author of Martha and the Bunny Brothers

Pierre_coversmlPIERRE THE FRENCH BULLDOG RECYCLES by Kate Louise and Bethany Straker

Like most dogs, Pierre, a French bulldog, loves the excitement of digging things up. He hoards his treasures in a hole in the backyard and then makes space for more. One day Pierre tosses some old stuff into the trash can, but he forgets to recycle. Now, instead of being transformed into new things, that plastic bottle and newspaper will sit in a landfill forever! Well, not if Pierre has anything to do with it. He chases the garbage truck through town, but will he catch it in time, or will those treasures be trash forever? (more)

“Children will adore Pierre! A Must-Read!” — SoCal City Kids

Tough Cookie_covermedTOUGH COOKIE by Kate Louise and Grace Sandford

When this gingerbread man was baked, someone forgot to put in the ginger. He’s made of eggs and cinnamon and flour and butter and sugar, but he’s missing a key ingredient! Without ginger, the gingerbread man feels like he’s not really a gingerbread man at all! He can’t be sold in the bakery, so he lives at the back of the store. And there he causes all kinds of trouble.

This is a story about being kind and finding happiness through helping others. Sandford’s cute illustrations accompany Louise’s sweet story, and children won’t be able to resist its delightful charm. (more)

“An attitudinally challenged gingerbread man gets a lesson in manners. . . . A didactic take on the traditional tale.” — Kirkus Reviews
